LRN Manual: 2nd Update (08/10/2015)

The RAP3 LRN Manual is a comprehensive set of procedures largely covering the implementation of RAP3’s LRN Component. It is a quality controlled ‘live document’. In hard copy it is in ring binder with a certified revisions sheet and, in soft copy it is maintained on the RAP3 ‘cloud server’ which is accessible remotely and cross-references via links to various supporting documentation.  On 8th October 2015 the 2nd Revision containing 12 new and updated procedures was issued.

Orientation to Contractors

RAP3 DTA Morang organized  an Orientation to Contractors” on 8th October 2015 to the contractors of the district in presence of LDO, DTO chief, Account Officer and Engineers from DDC and DTO. DTO chief Samar Khanal, DTL Ram Babu Paudyal, and RE Nirmal Chandra delivered presentation to participants. Following topics were discussed during the orientation:

  1. Standard Bid Document
  2. Completeness of Bid
  3. Contract Management/Administration
  4. Quality Control, QAP/QCP, Safety and Environmental protection
  5. Finishing of Contract, Completion Certificate and Defect Liability Period 

LDO appreciated and thanked to RAP 3 DTA team and all participants.

Rapid Condition Survey and Emergency Maintenance Training

In line with RAP Continuing Professional Development CPD annual timetable, RAP3 DTA Morang conducted a Rapid Condition Survey and Emergency Maintenance Training” on 5th October, 2015 to DDC and DTO technicians. DTO chief also participated this training and thanked to RAP3 DTA. RAP3 DTL Ram Babu Paudyal facilitated about the need and procedure of “Rapid Condition Survey and Emergency Maintenance” of the DRCN road.

RMG's Refresher Training

In line with RAP Continuing Professional Development annual timetable, RAP3 DTA Sankhuwasabha organized a “RMG Refresher Training” for RMGs. The trainees  were taught about the Dry wall construction method. A small sample Dry wall was also constructed during  the practical session on 2nd day. The technique of constructing Dry wall learned will be very fruitful in long term for RMG’s own use also.

 

RBG Refresher Training

As part of RAP Continuing Professional Development annual timetable, RAP3 DTA Kalikot organized a “RBG Refresher Training” for LRUCs of Sannighat-Phukot-Syuna-Shipkhana and Jharkot-Ramnakot road corridors from September 24 to 30,  2015.  Around 300 RBG members were participated in the training. They were oriented on role and responsibility of LRCC/LRUC/RBGs, proper use and importance of personal protective equipment and first aid kit box, insurance claim process, SED activities, saving and its mobilization.
