6th Batch GIS/GPS Training for Municipal Staff held in Nepalgunj

As part of its support to the introduction of federalisation in the country, RAP3 is delivering basic Geographic Information System (GIS) and Global Positioning System (GPS) training to municipal technical staff of local government. The sixth and last batch of training started in Nepalgunj on 10th June 2018 with the participation of altogether 21 technical staff from different R/Municipalities of Dadeldhura, Kalikot and Jumla districts. The opening session of the training was chaired by Senior Divisional Engineer (DoLIDAR) and RAP 3 Programme Coordinator Mr. Jeewan Guragain. RAP3 Deputy Programme Manager, Mr. Dilli Prakash Sitaula welcomed the participants and stated the objectives of the six-day training is to assist municipal technical staff to prepare and update the base map of their R/Municipalities. The opening session was formally concluded by Mr. Guragain which was then followed by the initiation of the training session.
