SMGs Public Audit

Specific Maintenance works refers to all the spot improvements and repairs to the road to ensure proper functioning of the different road elements. Specific maintenance works at localized area by Specific Maintenance Group (SMGs) was initiated in Jumla with an aim to improve Users’ Committee system through proper selection of group members following formation criteria and standard procedure. This helps to target the selection of poor and disadvantaged people who work and earn cash. It also minimize chances of involvement of hidden contracting system in UC’s work. SMGs model is appreciable that it provided employment opportunity to the local peoples. Also female members can do such work and it has empowered female to participate in development activities.

RMG s Public Audit

Introduction: The RAP3 Public Audit is a monitoring process through which beneficiaries and stakeholders provide vital feedback on the design, delivery and expenditure of the programme. Public Audit occurs regularly and is organized by beneficiary representatives with the facilitation and support of programme staff. It is one of the important tool for ensuring transparency within organization as well as strengthening good governance in community. After receiving monthly payment, Chairperson and Treasurer of each RMGs distribute money among the entire members as per payroll prepared by GE or IOW based on group’s completed work as well as attendance record.

The beneficiary representatives with the facilitation and support of the programme staff organized the meeting for the SMGs Public Audit for RAP3 LRN Road corridor area of DRCN  63DR007, 63DR008, 63DR009. 63DR007 road of Jumla, Final interim payment of SMGs public audit was done where 63DR008 and 63DR009, 3rd interim payment was done of SMGs.
