In 2017, the first International Women in Engineering Day in Nepal was marked by an exhibition of photographs capturing experiences of women engineers in Nepal. The event took place in the Nepal Engineers’ Association premises and was inaugurated by H.E. Richard Morris, the British Ambassador to Nepal followed by talks by Ms. Kamini Rajbhandari, Managing Director, Nepal Telecom, who was the guest of honour at the event, Ms. Kirsteen Merrilees, Deputy Programme Manager, RAP3, Dr. Rekha Shrestha, National Structural Engineer, UNDSS, and Ms. Ayasta Pokharel, Graduate Engineer, RAP3, each sharing their experiences.
