Pabita Bista attended the ACE Apprentice of the Year Award Ceremony

Pabita Bista from Jumla working as Junior Technical Supervisor at Rural Access Programme 3 (RAP3) travelled to the London on 2nd June 2019 to attend The Association for Consultancy and Engineering (ACE) Apprentice of the Year Award Ceremony that was held on 6th June 2019 at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, London. She was shortlisted by ACE for the Apprentice of the year award 2019. Pabita studied a Diploma in Civil Engineering from Karnali Technical School, Jumla and was the first female to achieve a diploma in her community.

In the remote district of Nepal, women still have little voice to decide for their own future and Pabita Bista expressed how motivating it was to be a nominee for the ACE award. RAP3 team would like to congratulate Pabita Bista with her achievement and we hope that she keeps on creating a more prosperous stories to encourage rural women in her area.
