Where does this forecast come from?
From the MET Norway Locationforecast service, which our server fetches, caches for at least 30 minutes and passes to your browser. MET Norway publishes the data under the CC BY 4.0 licence.
Which place does each forecast describe?
The airport coordinates listed on the airport's Wikipedia page. MET Norway returns a model forecast for the grid cell around that point, so mountain valleys can differ from the figures shown.
Does a clear forecast mean my flight will go?
No. Mountain flights depend on visibility, and this page does not predict schedules. Check with your airline before you travel.
Why is my airstrip missing?
An airstrip is listed only when its coordinates come from a source saved in our research files. Surkhet is left out for now because none of our downloaded sources gives its airport coordinates.
What do the columns mean?
We combine the hourly values from MET Norway for each Nepal-time day: max and min air temperature in degrees Celsius, total precipitation in millimetres, highest wind speed in km/h and mean cloud cover as a percentage. Today counts from the current hour.
